Specify whether the robot removes parts, sprues or both, and whether inserts must be loaded before the next cycle. Gripping and release depend on part geometry and temperature.
Injection Moulding Robot Automation
Plan the process before selecting a model.

Design around the complete process.
Injection moulding automation begins at the mould opening. A take-out system must suit the moulding machine, tool, part geometry and available time in the cycle, then transfer the part to the next operation.
Machine tonnage is only a starting point. Check tie-bar spacing, mould opening, stroke, mounting space, extraction path and interfaces with the moulding machine.
Downstream needs may include trimming, inspection, stacking, conveyors or another machine. Describe how the part should leave the cell and what happens after a rejected cycle.
What to share with the team.
These inputs help narrow the cell concept and suitable robot range. Final suitability, safety measures and dimensions must be confirmed for the actual site and equipment.
